Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Me to one of my IG followers: Hey you're cute! Wanna meet up in the middle of nowhere to take some photos.
My IG follower: Sure.

I wish I I got into photography when I was young and single. LOL!!

I'm totally kidding.

I prefer a little more DOF in my portraits, so for me #1, #3 and #5 are the winners.
I would put #1 as my top pick. the pose and expression are classic, and she pulls it off very well. the same for #3 really...
#4 would be brilliant except i find the DOF just a hair too thin. the OOF shoulder i could probably live with, but the ear and part of the hand just bug me.
the DOF is really more of a personal preference than actual critique, so dont read too much into the statement. as usual, its overall a wonderful set.

Another amazing series from you Mr. Tang.

Number one is the winner of the bunch, in my eyes. Beautiful pose, stunning background choice.

I love her head piece, and the color of her dress is fantastic with her skin tone.

I’ve noticed you post quite a few back shots lately, I am surprised how much I like them. You’ve inspired me to give some new angles a try next time I shoot.

These are all great but my favorite is the one of her standing on the rock.

On a side note - did she really show up alone to meet a complete stranger in the middle of nowhere? She didn't even bring a buddy for safety in numbers? As the parent of a teenage girl that makes me cringe and want to call her and give her a lecture! Not directed at you - obviously you're a legit pro and she can see that from your IG feed but you could be a legit pro and a creep. She got lucky that you're not.

Great set. So what did she get out of the deal? Was it just for fun?

That does look like the middle of no where. You’re in Orange County right? That looks like the rocks on the way out to Laguna Beach off the 133.

This was to test out my new analog equipment (new lenses, a new focus screen, and an additional film camera). It's also to test out models for my annual photography workshop (I teach business, posing, and lighting). It was at Joshua Tree National Park. :)

A nice set of pictures! Are these scans from negative film?

Two words: Harvey Weinstein.

Yeah she drove there by herself. This is the 2nd model from IG who showed up by herself to a shoot with me. I'm not sure if I should be flattered or get myself an escort to be safe

These were shot on digital (D750 + 85 f1.4G). The film rolls are on their way to the lab as we speak and probably won't be done until next week.

Beautiful as always. I know you hate it when I leave this critique but I'm going to say it again anyways: if you did any editing on these, I think taking some extra time to clean up stray hairs for the sake of adding compositional harmony and to streamline the styling on the hair would really take these photos to another level, otherwise the hair looks messy.

To be honest, I'm a sucker for female bare backs. There's something about the skin and the shape of the back of a female that's extremely seductive to me.

Thanks. To be honest, if it's in a studio or for a fashion magazine, I would edit all the hair. But I shoot a lot of outdoor, rustic, boho, posed candids. So, imperfect hair makes it more realistic, free, and true to the "story".

Not to derail the post but really quick, my daughter has super fine hair and always has strays. Do you have a link that shows your method for getting rid of the strays?
