Mallard Duck - Your opinions....

    Hey. Just wonderd what your opinions were on this pic I took this weekend in snowdownia.

    Its my first attempt at wildlife :D

    To get the best effect in wildlife photography, focus on the eyes should be spot-on. These are good attempts, but not quite there. Additionally, the duck's face is in shadow, and that sort of degrades it. The whites on your gulls are a bit overexposed. Keep on shooting!

    Agree with above, I do the same, focus right on it's eye, then wait for it to turn it's head so the light hits it just right. Hopefully it's not direct sun like my old heron shot I posted in my thread and I get blown out hot whites oops :) Gulls are hard in the sun, those dang bright white feathers are like a super nova lol

    but the comp on the duck and catching the gull walking is very cool, good catches on that!
