I can't really tell from his website as the interface is terrible and it looks like they've been over-saturated and over-compressed. Some of the black & white images looked ok, but mostly it seems like collections of images which don't go together! I suppose seeing them in the flesh would help, but I wasn't particularly inspired and don't think it's worth bothering visiting the real galleries!

What does anyone else think? http://www.martinparr.com/

I think Martin Parr is a great chronicler of ordinary life. He has done some really good thematic work and has a wonderful observational eye. He is generally understated and invites some effort from the viewer, but that effort is rewarded. I think something like his 'Bored Couples' essay is brilliant.
