He is wearing an authentic WWI uniform.

The camera was a Nikon D1x with 180 2.8 lens.

For a vertical shot, the composition is just about perfect. And it looks like your black and white conversion skills are excellent. ;) Nice job! :thumbup:

Thanks for the kind words. The only problem I have with the composition is that I lopped off his elbow when I shot it. It was a grab shot- I got off exactly one shot before he moved on. I was on assignment to shoot a Memorial Day event at a very old cemetary in Fort Worth, Texas.

I asked someone later about the gentleman and I was told that it was indeed an original uniform and he comes to this event every year. I wish I would have had more time to talk to him but it was a hectic day of shooting and I never got the chance. I did get him in a couple of other distant shots, but this close up of him is my favorite.
