mentor series??

i wasnt sure if i should put this here, or in meetup, so feel free to move it.

have any of you been to one of the mentor series clinc things?(www.mentorseries.com)
ive been thinking of attending the one coming up in utah, as ive always wanted to go there, and its driving distance for me... the only thing holding me back is the price tag! ouch!!!

The trouble with these types of event is that unless you follow your mentor for a few years, you'll just get an earful of opinion from someone who has fine-honed their technique. Unless you specifically want to shoot like a particular pro then it's a bit imbalanced as a teaching method IMO>

I would recommend saving loads of cash and doing some further education using more traditional teaching techniques.

If you just want to have some fun and hang around with some great photographers, come to a TPF meetup!
