Messing about with lights

    Can others edit my Photos:
    Photos OK to edit
    Ive only had a camera for like two months so im pretty new to photography so im still learning a lot of new things, been messing around with lighting lately, i only have a couple of lamps from around my house and theyre not exactly versitile. Some advice on how to improve the images would be helpful please!

    Nice use of light and negative space.

    I'd like to see more Depth of Field (DOF).

    I'd play with the lights more, because I can't even tell what it is. I agree more DOF would be helpful hardly any of the picture is in focus. Try more light and a higher f/stop, just stop the lens down to atleast f9 and add more light.
