    Got this image last night near Colon, Nebraska. Lucky enough to catch a meteor too! I think this is an early Orionid, that shower peaks in late october. To view the full account of this day visit my blog. Which do you think looks better? the first is the original, second after some post processing...

    Wow, very nice shot for your first submission to the forums!

    The second does have more contrast, but unfortunately it loses the trail of that meteor, making it look more like a lens scratch. For that, I'd have to go with the original.
