Ok... So I just moved into a new apartment, and I want to create a mini home studio in my living room. I'm not too interested in portraits of people, but rather portraits of household objects and objects that could be put against a cool backdrop and photographed. I have a little table on which to put backdrops and an object, but I have no idea about lights or anything like that. Any suggestions? Keep in mind, the cheaper the better :D. Thanks!

What size of objects are we talking about here?

I'd suggest a light tent.

Nothing too big. The biggest might be the size of a mixing bowl or something. But really nothing too much larger than that

Well, then a light tent would probably be great for your needs. I just found this site with a simple search http://www.ezcube.com/

You could use household lamps, just make sure to set your WB accordingly.

A tripod would be a good investment as well.
