    I thought I would post this shot not for it's photographic quality, but I found it humourous. These Canvasbacks are not shore birds, even at 520mm this was the closest I could get. 1 female and a flock of males thinking about the mating season.

    I really had to study the photos to tell the difference between the Redheads and the Canvas Backs. Looks like the beak is the big giveaway.

    very cool shot of some amazingly beautiful ducks...

    some day I will get a hide, and hope they swim near me for some close up shots.. I saw some today at LaSalle, but I think the shots I got are too far out.

    I have always wondered what those were. I ran into some of those the last trip that I made to alton to photo eagles. Great shot
