Monitor And print Problem

23" Hannspree HD Lcd monitor
Spyder 2 Express cal kit
Mpix.com Printers

Problem:

Prints are darker!

im trying soft proofing but i dont like how its looking.

Questions

New Cal Kit? or New Monitor? or BOTH???

Not sure. It could also be Mpix. I doubt it though but who knows. Have you tried any other printing places to see if it's them or not. How many times have you used Mpix? Do you always get that problem? If it's not mpix then try re-calibrating your monitor. GL

Ok heres what ive done so far

First i went to a local Lab, Prints came out dark but i thought maybe they just shizzy

then ordered a colorful pic from mpix came out the same

then re calibrated my monitor, checked the srgb color, uploaded and repirinted and its still the same

then Mpix sent me the cal kit (soft proofing). and personally i dont like it and im having a hard time.

Hmm I guess the only thing is your monitor? Or the shots are just too dark to begin with but you would probably notice that.

ya? i just dont wanna get a new monitor and find out i only needed a better calibration kit like spyder 3 pro
