    what websites do people use to calibrate their monitors?

    ive just bought a TFT monitor and im having real trouble calibrating it, just cant seem to get it right

    does anybody know if TFT need to be calibrated in a different way than normal monitors?

    Ive never callabtrated mine...I need to callabrate it? dpreview has something at the bottom for callibration...

    ok, thanks for your help, ive sorted it now. It was the adobe gamma correction that caused the problem. I had fiddled about with it when i first bought the monitor and left it set at a stupid low amount, so everything i looked at had no details in the shadows or midtones. The difference now its sorted is unbelievable, still not perfect but i will sort that out.

    Artemis, your monitor might be ok but it is worth checking with some of the online calibration websites just to make sure. It makes a hell of a difference. If you doing a lot of digital imaging, i would say it is vital
