Moody beach shots-too grainy?

    Hey guys :) I'm divided on these, they were taken in color and I played with them in Photoshop until they looked like this using the channel mixer and some other adjustments I don't remember. I like the effect, just trying to figure out if the resulting grain helps or hurts the images. Also, if you have any other suggestions please feel free to post away :D I've been told that the clouds in the first shot need to either be accentuated or lost completely. Have any thoughts on that?

    It's certainly not too grainy. I really like the feel of the first two. The high contrast really works well there. The third seems a bit too gray overall, though.

    Thanks for your comments. I know what you mean about the grayness, that is one problem I always have with black and white stuff...I rarely see any black or white ;)

    1 & 2 are pretty good, nice shots. I like the grain aswell.
