This one is handheld with the following:

ISO 1600
1/2000th F6
210mm

Nice shot Chase. Good moon shots are much harder than you think and you hit the mark with this one. :D
 
Wow, Chase nice shot. That's very little grain for ISO 1600.

Have you tried it at a slower ISO? I'm not exactly digital savvy, but wouldn't that provide more/higher quality detail? 1/500th sec should be fast enough to handhold a 210mm lens, and you could go down to ISO 400.
 
Of course great shot! Personally, I would like to hear details of the D70. I am considering buying one. I have read Nikon's side of the story, but for some reason I think they are a little biased.
The rest of the class may be bored by the details, so feel free to PM or email.
 
That is a good shot, Chase, even with the extra fast speed. I'd like to see another one at about half that, too.

Either way, I love, love, LOVE a good texture-y moon shot. :thumbsup:

Are you sure you didn't steel that off of a NASA site somewhere? It's a beautiful shot. Wonderful job!
