I like the one with the feet and the last one the best, all though all of them are really excellent!

    Hey Ryan
    Nice images :)

Love "the feet" image. Last one looks just a little too soft (but it looks like that was the look you were going for).

    Good job.

Thanks. I am in love with the feet images myself! LOL

Yeah the lighting was harsh on the beach, so a lot of the shots, instead of fighting, I used a glow feature from Picasa 2 to get a soft lighting feel!

#3 is by far my favorite, a nice moment and she is engaging the camera/viewer.

#1 has nice color and feel, the sand in the air is cool...but with one of the children looking down and obscured by the other, it feels like a snap shot rather than something from a photo shoot.

#2: I love the idea of the feet in the water, I just wish you had turned them around to face the sun, so that the shadows had fallen behind them, rather than in front.

#4: Again, a nice moment and I like the glow. What it lacks, IMO, is a connection to them...I'd prefer to have them looking at the camera, although looking at each other isn't all bad either.

I too like the feet. Visited your flickr site also, really dig the skyline images and your model shots. Ever shoot in YBOR city?

Thanks Big Mike. I agree somewhat, but part of what I was asked to do was catch the kids "in the moment". It was the end of the formal photoshoot, I was packing up and these kids kept throwing the sand in the air. I wish I was standing on the other side, with the sun coming through the sand or something, but I did what I could.

The shadows on the feet I love, but that's just me!

    Thanks for the compliments!

No - I haven't! It's a great idea though, but I need to find a local photo-buddy to go with and do some of these things... The night shots were me and a friend coming back from Tampa, and we stopped to take them behind a hospital... I'd like to go back to the same spot and take some HDR's at dusk... would be pretty cool I think.

    You in Tampa??

I use to shoot models in Tampa. I am located in the Panama City/Destin area.

Ahh, I would move too... shooting models is usually illegal in Tampa.

    ha ha

I never get tired of that joke.

Anyway - cool! I love Tampa, and there are parts of Tampa BEGGING to be photographed that I never get to. Maybe when I get my SLR... (DLSR that is)
