Took these with my friends D40x using the 55-200mm VR lens. I have a D40.. but didn't carry it with me on the trip.

My last thread on this was in the People Photography Gallery, which can be viewed here..

Figured I would try out the General Gallery this time to see if I get afew more responses. [If mods feel otherwise.. feel free to move it]

Other than the distracting guy on the left of shot 2, they all look great to me. Excellent focus and exposure on them all - makes me want the VR lens ;-).

All good shots! I think #2 would also look good with a fairly tight crop around the guy and his kayak. That would bring up some of the swirling textures of the water too. Anyway, I like them. Makes me wanna drive out to the river!

Thanks guys.. I didn't edit the pictures, my friend did.. I had him send them to me afterwards.. atleast the ones that i took so i could show people.

I thought about cropping the guy out but i didn't... Don't really know why.. I may go back and change that.
