    C&C, thanks a lot!!

I recently purchased the book Understanding Exposure, recommended by some of you here....I am hoping that with time and practice I'll learn and get better...

As far as have a 'good eye' for it, not sure...would appreciate any kind of opinion....

The first picture I believe I used the software to fix color a bit.

I really like the first one. I like the what seems to be a huge city in the center under the wing. It gives a nice sense of scale and its amazing how small it is from the airplane yet how big that city is when your standing in the street. Great shot.

Thanks guys. I do like this first one as well. It is Chicago downtown, just took about 3 weeks ago when on a plane to Brasil ;)

Yes. I think you are on the way.
    Looks good what I see.
In what way did you have to colour correct your photo out of the plane window? Was it even bluer? I usually get very blue pics by the plane windows and have to shift the colours towards more yellow...
And I am proud at myself: I recognised Chicago for what it is without having read your answer, and did a little Whoop! of joy when I found my assumption proved. :D

The second is a nice play with aperture (small) and shooting-in-to-the-light, but I'd crop out the tops of the far away trees at the bottom and the power lines.

Tka again, the first pic was bluer, actually just very grey, because that's pretty much how the weather here has been....

I meant wasn't bluer. And I only used the quick fix because was all very gray-ish, kinda blah!
