As for shot 1, 2, and 3, I also have so many similar shots. The sky looks awesome to the eyes but a camera just doesn't pick it up like your eyes do for real. Just doesn't work for a photograph unless it has some landscape in it.

I have done the same repeatedly, grabbing the camera because a particular area of the sky looks awesome, then am always disappointed when I look at them on the computer.
