    i think i like #1 the most, gives a sense of being on top or the world

    precisely... although your subject may not be moving fast enough or your continuous capture fired too fast for his speed to make it work.

    I really like #2, but too much of the sky above the lift. . .

    i like 1) the best. the silhouttes make it look that little bit better. kudos !

    @Rosshole: Yes, he really isn't moving fast enough. I might try it from further away next time though.

    I agree with this, and think it works at around the 3:2 mark.. Do you have any lanscape [orientation] shots of the scene?

    Yes, I got another one of the scene.

    Is this better? I decided to have that much sky in #2 because I wanted to show that it was actually totally foggy below this level, but that obviously didn't really work...

    I probably went above and beyond for most people's taste but I think yours is a bit too warm.
