Yep - sitting here last night I noticed this beauty of a yellow moth on my lampshade - so I got out the tripod and lens and took some shots of him, once I had finished I moved away and started packing up the kit which is when he flew onto my shoulder and then onto a wood beam in my room -- so I had to put all the kit back together again!
ps I kept shutter speed up a little as firstly my room was rather dark at night, even with the light on the meter was reading well into the underexposure - but I had the lens right out on the tripod arm (055XPROB) and it would not freestand there

Taken with canon 400D, sigma 150mm f2.8 macro, speedlite 580M2+softbox (2*tleconverter also used in some shots)
(not he was upsidown when he was on the lampshade!)
The best results:

Wow, nice shots there! Great detail, especially in its antennae.

(It looks like a 'pscyho' in that second shot (with its beady eyes, and its nose off to the side like that).

Or like a 'lolmoth' ("I are moth and I eatz yer clothes")

Well done, Overread. I think I like the last shot best, compositionally, but I agree with Anty about the nose in the second one. It's very Rocky Balboa :)
