So GoM, how did you stumble across TPF?

I still don't know who he is...
So this is a good chance to meet you...

Tell me something, anything about yourself.

GoM and I are chat buddies on occasion! Congrats!

I wanna see a picture of where you live! Whether you take that literally as in your house, or somewhere else where you tend to be a lot, is up to you!

Oh, sure! Gomer is MOTW on the week I'm gone!

Hmmmm....what to ask Stewie about?

I know! How'd you get the nickname Gomer?

Double post double post! Wheres a mod when you need one to fix these things! :D:D

As a relative newbie, this comes as a pretty diggin surprise, so here goes..

Alison - I had been mildly interested in photography for awhile (to the extent that whenever we'd go on family gatherings and stuff, they'd hand me the camera, whatever point and click it was), and had just gotten back from a month-long (May of this year) trip in the UK visiting family and friends. I had taken my piece of ass Kodak camera with me, and took ~40 shots trip-wide...mainly because, for every single possible shot I saw, I knew it'd look like crap. So, my real interest in photography really developed (haha pun's are fun) from vacation. Once I got back, I started doing the math to see if I could afford one, read up on the different meanigns, what I'm looking for, etc, and as I'm a forums-whore, I thought I'd check out a photography forum...this place seemed both small and big enough, and I thought I'd sign up. Some might recall my 'flourish' of a greeting post...yeeahh :D

----

LittleMan - I'll tell you a couple little things. I'm 19 (20 this November...so I'm acting immature while I'm still a teen), entering year two of university at the The University of Western Ontario in London (halfway from Toronto (hometown) to Detroit), Honours Specialisation in History with a minor in Geography. I play both drums and guitar, and have done for 6-7 years, and aspire to be a teacher and marry rich, so I can have lots of time off and lots of money to play with in said vacation time :).

Though love does come first. In the sense that if she's banging hot, that's a bonus ;)

-----

EB - It's 11 PM and my house would look like garbage at night, but I'll take a snap or two of it tommorrow night, as well as, once I choose which ones to put up, a couple shots I've taken around Toronto, showing y'all my home city of 5-odd million :)

-----

Corry - No bleedin' idea. I was, like, 14 or 15, signing up on a music forum, and I took it and ran. No idea where the inspiration came from, no idea what it means (though God of Men has a nice ring to it...if a bit poufy), but I've used it ever since.

-----

Nitefly - Incase you hadn't noticed, I'm pretty pumped. Due to my lack of camera terminology and markets, and a relatively new eye to the whole thing, I don't get a whole lot of chances to contribute here, though I keep trying. So I'm stoked.

Some of these questions I've answered, but I'm 19 (Nov 18, 1986), I'm from Toronto but I'm basically calling London (ON) my home for the next three-four years (and maybe after? I love it there), we can see a picture of me once I upload it and find one that's embarrassingly ridiculous enough, and I'll do the fridge shot soon once my mom's in bed, so she doesn't think I'm completely crackers :D

------

This is for Joe and Corry - Hope you're enjoying your TRIP guys, because I say Nuts to your Monkey, I'm having a Banana!

Btw, I saw an ad on the subway today with a friend of a monkey sitting in a bushel of bananas...I repeated said phrase to her. She didn't knwo what to make of me from then on...:D

edit : Nitefly, I didn't notice you were a Brummie. My dad's from Liverpool, as well as his entire side of the family, but the family's stretched out all over the country and I visit pretty much on a yearly basis. I'm also now a dual citizen as of this summer, of both Canada and the UK. So I have one question for YOU

City, Villa or Brom?

My dad lives in liverpool too!Which part of liverpool is your dad from? JohnMF lives in liverpool too.. we could have a mini meetup some time :D

City till I die mate :) What about you?

My dad was born and grew up in Hunt's Cross, but now the only really close family member left in the city is my grandmother, who lives just outside now in Hale Village...rest of the family has headed south (mainly in Rugby/rural Warwickshire), with other bits in Norwich, London, Windsor...actually, my stepdad's also from West London (Ealing, I believe), and his mom now lives in Birmingham (Sutton Coldfield), with his siblings dotted throughout London and Southampton..so..I have family in various places.

Football-wise, I must admit that, despite all my roots, I am a Man Utd fan...though I like to think that I'm a bit more objective and realistic than most Mancunians (who mostly annoy the **** out of me and give me a bad name). I also have (random) feelings of support for Preston...living in Canada, I have family ties to parts of the country, but not neccessarily 'home' ties, so I don't feel obligated to support certain clubs (though my family certainly tried/tries to make me a Reds fan ;)).

I must admit, I do have a soft spot for Villa, though I wouldn't say so much that I like them....I want to see them do well, because I went to my first ever EPL match there last May, the last game of the season, Villa-Sunderland. I'm definately a Red Devil, with a bit of Lilywhite in me. Though it wouldn't upset me to see Villa do well.

Most people say 'rawr rawr you cna only support one true club, etc'...to which I say sod off, I spilt my loyalties and support them fully, and so long as everyone agrees to hate Chelsea and Arsenal, I don't have a problem ;)

Haha well thats fair enough! If you're ever visiting birmingham let me know :D Alot of my friends come from sutton coldfield but I'm from south birmingham, just on the outskirts.. not far from warwickshire actually!

Are you making it to england for the TPF meetup?

Nah, not at all....I think me and a friend of mine who also has English family are considering going over next summer, though that all depends on funds, timing and whatnot, so we'll see then :)

A picture of your favorite shoes
