Mount Rainier sunrise..

I took these photos about a month ago but haven't been able to share them until now. These are taken from Chinook Pass which is about 11 miles east of the mountain. These were shot with my 18-55 kit lens on my Pentax K10d.

First Photo (1 hour before dawn):

I also switched to my 300mm zoom and focused on the standard climbing route up the mountain (I had a friend climbing it this day). I didn't know it at the time but once I was home, I was able to look at the photos and could pick out some of the climbing parties along the route. Pretty cool-

Very nice set. I was in Seattle in December and missed out on this beauty. I think the second image is the one I like the most (composition, colours, and mood).

The light in the second shot is lovely, and the tree on the left adds a nice touch.

It's also cool to see the closeup, with the climbers visible.
