hi folks.

so i recently got given this tripod. I have no use for it and want to sell it on but i cant find any other examples of it to get a price guide. It has MPP written on the side of it. It has wooden legs with metal extensions that have pointed ends for digging into the ground. And the mount section is all metal with a little pin you slot in a hole, and then you turn a handle and it swivels the mount around.

Has anyone ever come across one of these before?

Thanx for any help.

:)

How much were you planning on selling it for (I know you want to find a price point, but judging by the quality, how much would you sell it for?)?

I don't know anything abouth this tripod in particular, but I expect MPP was the British company MPP (Micro Precision Products) which made photographic equipment, notable for the Ministry of Defence, in the 1950s.
Some info here: http://www.mppusers.freeuk.com/

Their TLR medium format cameras tend to fetch a reasonable price on ebay, so the tripod may have some value to collectors. Hope that helps!
