Mr & Mrs Cardinal

Just two of the 600 images I took this weekend. Had a great time at the falls with Ray and Daisy. While our wives went shopping today Ray and I got in some quality shooting at the Duck Pond, aka Dufferin Islands Park. He already posted some images but these are the best Cardinal shots I have ever taken. One of those birds that has eluded me up until now.

Those are beauties. You even got the bright red one's eyes to shine through the black feathers. No mean feat, I'm sure.

:hail: All you bird people (read: Airic and Ray) have got me itching now to go shoot birds! But I absolutely can't, not with my equipment. I will have to accept that there are some things I just cannot do with my lenses, and enjoy your beautiful captures instead. They are SO amazing!!
