    We have a pair of red bellied woodpeckers visiting our balcony but they take off as soon as they see us move behind the patio door. However, Ms Harry will stay even if I open the door. Here she is.

    Nice captures Ron. I really like #1; unfortunately, in #2, there's a reflection on her eye that makes it look quite dead.

    I'm no birder, but those look like Downy or possibly Hairy woodpeckers to me. Whatever, great pics.

    I saw the title, and I figured it was another cricket shot, not a woodpecker. :lol:

    The female is a Harry (larger bird) the male is a downy. They look very similar except for size.

    number 1 is awsome. great job on the dof and being a sneaker bird catcher. number 2 would be great with some simple editing i bet. good shooting.
