I think the edited version is way too sharp.

Do you have any shots with some wildflowers? Were you there when they were in bloom? I was there in the late summer and I got a couple good shots of the flowers...I'll see if I can dig up a couple shots. (although I'll have to take a picture of them with my Fz20 because they're film shots and I don't have a scanner)

It looks like you took this at mid-day. The sky is bland and un-interesting and the colours washed out. In my opinion you shouldn't have bothered taking the picture at this time of day (unless of course you were unable to return later or get there earlier in the morning).

Landscape photographs taken mid-day under harsh light and clear blue skies are never likely to work.
