Someone was asking about my Jeep so here's my Beast. Bought my first Jeep a 93 YJ in 2000. Got it and added the chrome and stainless bling. Wanted a black Jeep with stainless since I was 10 and would take my brothers 4wd catalog and look over the centerfold. Then swapped out the bumper, added a winch, 2" reverse shackle, 2.5" leaf spring, and 1" body lift. I refused to sell it so it got a frame rebuild and a new paint job. It is going back to a pavement princes only driven in the good weather. There's a pic of me wire wheeling the interior prepping for the herculiner and me cutting a u-joint in the drive shaft. It is sitting now waiting for a new steering collum and rewiring the dash. Ben has been a great teacher and letting me do as much of the work myself I can. It has come in handy since he travels so much I have changed alternators, thermostats, radiators and I believe a water pump while he has been away.

Nice looking YJ

Awesome! Thanks for posting. The shot in the lake is interesting, to say the least!

So...who has the better, badder Jeep? You, or Ben?

Photo does not show it but it was a water crossing. It was my first time wheeling and was still stock. Had to dry it out a bit before continuing.

The TJ Ben had when we first meet is more off road capable. Dana 60 and Detroit locker on rear, limited slip in front, inline 6 and about 8" of lift, 35" tires. No longer streat legal but he lets me have fun with it. If wheeling together we usually swap driving at lunch.

I like to drive the Jeeps as my daily driver so they are not built as much but do a great job in the Maine winters and light off road. Right now the LJ is my daily driver and I do some light off road fun with it. 4" lift, 33" tires, limited slip in the rear.

We got it and the LJ and XJ used. I had a 1 hr commute for a few years and the XJ with 2 inc lift was a great Jeep but the Maine winters do a number on them rust wise. Now it needs some work.
