It is according to the my editor and city editor of the paper I work for. I personally think it's strong, but not my "best shot ever."
Anyway, here's the story behind it. Rookie highway patrol officer raised in a nearby town was killed while on duty, and the funeral was the other day. An interesting note, last month I shot the funeral of a veteran sheriffs department officer with about 500 uniform police, sheriffs, highway patrol officers, horse mounted division, and 100 motorcycle units, as well as more than one hundred plain clothes officers with a full bagpipe line. The rookie had about 100 officers from his area office and that was it.

The day was mostly overcast with the occasional sun peaking through. She was under a canopy and the officers in back were in the open. Anyway, C&C always welcomed. And Merry Christmas, folks.

Yeah. He was 29. He'd been on the force for only 14 months after having served in Iraq. And his wife was pregnant with their fourth child(his fifth child).

It is a very touching, emotion filled, photo. Nicely shot, too.
