my black-and-whites turned out sepia

So, IIRC, to actually make a sepia print you take a black and white film and print it on black and white paper. Then you dunk it in some kind of bleaching agent that causes the white areas to yellow and the black areas to get lighter

So, no, you can't have Sepia film and any such claims from the lab are ridiculous.

I'd ask for a refund for the printing as if they can't actually print the stuff they shouldn't be accepting it IMHO, not sure if it'll work though
 
I will let the 1 hour places do my color, but for my B&W it is always done by either Chromatek or Dale labs both here in Fort Lauderdale.
