Shipped a cactus here to NY when I was in Scottsdale, should be coming today!
The price for a cactus in 5 gallon that weight and everything here would be around $60 - I got it for $20. Quite a price difference!

For some reason, I thought you meant the radio trigger things

But grats man!

Don't stick yourself! Soon after we moved to Arizona, my son picked up a dead prickly pear leaf thinking that, since it was dead, it wouldn't have spines. WRONG!

Haha, there's actually quite a few species of Prickly Pear that survive here (or similiar looking ones in the Optunia family - so I learned that lesson from a friend who punted one

I got some Prickly Pear & ...not sure the name of the other seeds (EXTREMELY spikey & grows kind of like a tree with thorns (not the Christ Tree thing). The cactus shipping is a Mexican Fencepost.

Probably an Ocatillo :). Pretty red flowers, too. I have one in my front yard.

Thanks! Can't wait to have a cactus this size!
for $20 here you can get a 10 inch cactus maybe a foot (at least the place I go), so it worked out well!

Not quite that but I did see a bunch of them.

It's more of a "cactus" look, I found that birds like to nest in them as well.

EDIT: here it is: http://www.cactuslovers.com/florence-junction-az4.jpg

Ouch! That looks like a Cholla. It is also affectionately known as a Jumping Cholla because the clumps of thorns are loosely attached and seem to jump at you. Pretty, though.

Learned the jumping part the hard way!

It hurts! Got a bunch right in my hand when reaching for the seed pod. :(

Got it! I'll put up some pics tomorrow hopefully!
