My dad's old Zenit

    My dad recently gave me his old SLR, I haven't got round to giving it a go yet, but I thought I'd take a few photos of the camera itself :)

    To be honest im not sure! I think they are for attaching a strap but thats just a guess.:D

    Yep, for straps. My first SLR was a Zenit-E. I graduated to an Olympus OM1 just after it came out in the early 1970s, and that camera is still going strong. I was very pleased with the images I took with the Zenit. Nice to see one of those old Russian cameras again.

    Yeah, I still have my Zenit E. I love that thing, it's the only film SLR I actually use. My friend loaned me a Nikon N90, but before that, I used the Zenit exclusively (well for film that is..) They're great cameras!

    cool shots of the Zenit....I had one that leaked light like a seive, threw it in the bin.
