    Photos OK to edit
    I know they aren't good quality, as I mentioned in my introduction post I'm not very good at photography, and he wasn't in the mood to sit and pose!

    I think the leash and collar are quite distracting but they just seem like a snapshot to me. Keep on trying and experiment and see what you really like.

    The composition on the first is not too bad, you didn't center him and left the viewers eye to wander in the direction of the dog's stare, which is nice.

    In terms of photo quality, its essential in portraits (human and non human) that when you photograph a subject, that their eyes are tack sharp.

    The photo could also use some levels/curves adjustment in photoshop to punch the darks and lighten the lights, and a slight saturation to boost the green of the grass, but not too much to detract from the dog.
