My first attempt at night landscape and stars photography

Most photos turned out unusable
Location wasn't the best for shooting either as there was a lot of light pollution.
Let me know what you think.

I like that you can make out the big dipper in the 2nd one, but I recommend framing it with a desirable foreground next time. Also, for the first photo, consider a longer exposure so the foreground is visible.

No problem. I wrote a blog about star trails a few years ago, it is quite dated, but some of the tips might still be useful.
