My first few days of photography...

I've only had a camera for four days, or so, so any constructive criticism is more than welcomed.
I'm using a Nikon D40 and a 50mm F/1.8D

I like the second photo, the shot of the girl holding up the panfish. it has a nice sort of 1970's-like feeling about it,with the muted colors. I like how the fish's tail is moving. It brings back memories of fishing for crappies and bluegills back in the 1970's, so to me, it's an evocative type of nostalgic photo.

+1 for the caught fish picture. Very good. And the selective focus/shallow depth of field. Nicely done. I like the tackle shop candid too. Excellent start.
