My first "HDR"

    I actually really like this. It is not a realistic HDR at all, but that clearly isn't the look that you were going for. The composition, the sky, and the unnatural HDR effect gives this a very artsy feel which I'm digging here.

    I agree, pretty cool looking, but heading into the CGI/cartoonish type vibe.

    Cool image, and I am even a fan of cartoonish looking HDR images.

    But, I think you went too far on the saturation. Of course it's subjective, JMO.

    it is fun and the subject matter lends itself to being a bit over the top.

    I like it except for the bit of grass or whatever in the bottom left. I'd darken and desaturate that part. Other than that, it's cool!

    thank you for your comments!
    i used photomatix first to generate the hdr file, and then photoshop to delete most of the background, create the clouds and play with saturation and contrast.
    ;)

    What kind of train is that? I can see a car tire sticking out from under it.
