Hello all,

This is my first photo post here. Im new to this as well, I just started getting into taking photos as a hobby.
Heres a shot i took a while back with my point and shoot. It was taken up in Fort Bragg. Please critique. I now have a D80 but havn't had a chance to use it yet (I just got it yesterday). I muted the pic a bit and changed the background grass from more green to more of a yellow. Let me know what you think.

great close-up. i like the detail in the feathers. I am not sure I am crazy about the comp and the birds chest is a bit hot. for a p&s, pretty good. you will have much more control with your new d80.
