My first portraits with my D90 get up

These where taken yesterday.It was the first time I used my new camera and flash.I was trying to learn to bounce the flash. They turned out okay could of been better. Maybe with more practice I'll get it.

I had the glass doors behind me that's why she has a glare in her eyes.

Thats probably the cutest thing Ive ever seen.

I think the pictures would look better if the background was a bit more blurry (exept for #2 wich is perfect)

I think those look great for a first time flash bouncer

The glare in her eyes is actually good, you want catchlights.

I think with a little post processing in PS you could make these a lot better. Sharpening, saturating, cropping...
One thing to fix may be the wrinkles in the background. Or better yet, get a softer cloth. Something fuzzy or soft, to give more texture.

Also, maybe work on your composition. In one and two, limbs are cut off in odd places. Play aroun with crops in PS and see what you can come up with.
