    After seeing Eric's latest set, well, I tried.......It was -8 with the windchill....teleconverter really softens up that 300mm F2.8 L..Mike

    Great shots , I like n# 3 .. It takes time to capture such great shots like this ,.. Patience for waiting .. Pic n#3 says it all.. ;)

    Nice shots , glad you made it over there .... what extender are you using? the Canon Extender should match up pretty well with the Canon 300 MM 2.8.

    After reading your exif data, I noticed you only had a shutter speed of 1/500th. I always try to shoot nothing less than 1/1000 (for birds in flight) and around F 8. And there at L/D 14 when the sun is out I go about 2/3 or a full stop - EC so I dont blow out the whites on the heads and tails and as the days goes on when you get the golden light at around 4:15 to 4:45 I bring it back up closer to even. That light at the end of the day is just awesome hope you got to see that .

    Tight shots!!! Jtee hit it right...need a little higher shutter speed.

    Man i want one of those water shots while on the hunt!!!!
