My first try on Self Portrait I need your comment

This is my first try to take a self portrait I'm not that photogenic. I need tips on how to take better portraits shots as well. Thanks in advance

I would prefer the picture a little tighter on the subject and a little less couch. My eye wants to see where your arm went to as well. Good job for a first try otherwise and keep shooting.

yes i agree, the image is too high... missing you and a little out of focus

and dont say your not photogenic... most people think they dont look good on a photo.

you could do to lift your head also... maybe a cushion or supported by your hand.

dont give up though, self portraits are dificult.... especially if your doing it with the timer on the camera
