Here are a few from my first wedding shoot. Please tell me if I should continue trying to get gigs or just give it up.

    the last two are great!!!!!

the first, in my opinion, gets too much of the trees..and the trees look harsh on my monitor...could be this flatscreen though...

the second is a classic pose and it looks good except the flash looks a bit hot for my taste...but overall, i would be pleased if it was my wedding!!!! keep getting gigs!

LOL your avatar! this is your first shoot and although you have much to improve on, i wouldn't give it up! there are many here that shoot people pics; ecspecially weddings, and will help you more than any book will teach. but just throwing my .02 worth in..i would focus on an adjusted lighting source. there are too many unwanted shadows in the indoor pic. the first and third pics are overexposed. the last is good. be patient and the pros will jump in here and help u a bunch!
