just snapped this while hanging out with my friends near my house. it was pretty dark so I opened the aperture, upped the ISO, but put the shutter a bit high (purposefully) so it looks a bit darker than it was --

Ho no, don't crop it. I think the composition is very nice as is.

I understand the spotlight feel but I don't think it would hurt to have some detail in those black areas. Not a whole lot mind you. Just enough to say those are not solid black.
