My girls at the park

Had to take the girls to my son's soccer practice the other evening and took the camera. Trying to get better at the portrait side of it and want to know what you all think of these.

1. Our youngest

2. The drama queen (Really mad I chopped the top of her head off )

3. "Enough Dad!"

That boring huh? Any suggestions on how to improve?

#1 -- skin tone's a bit on the red side and not on the 'warm' red side, on the 'does she have a sunburn?' red side. You cut the tips of her fingers off on her right hand.

#2 is a cute shot and I think the picture would not be served well by showing the entire head. Where you cropped it moves her eyes into a good part of the frame. You might try going for an even tighter crop but the shadows are going to work a bit against you.

#3 -- hand cut off, other hand in motion, again you have that nice light but the shadows are working against you. The pole doesn't work in the background.

I think all 3 are keepers, though. You've adorable kids.

Lovely-
1 has lovely colour no harsh shadows-I like it alot.
2 shadows are a little harsh, you could try a reflector-of course not practicle when they are trying to play though
