I really love this tripod. One thing I heard complaints about were the twist locks. I actually find them easier to use than the clamps on my last tripod. With the twist locks I can grab them all and extend the legs.
The monopod feature is great. I use that a lot when on scenes of a structure fire or traffic accident because things happen quick, I have to move quickly.
For other settings the tripod is strufy, compact and light. The quick release takes a little getting used to versus the other style that has the lever. But this style removed more vibrations in the quick release plate.
I also like being able to invert the tripod. Makes macro shots easier.
