Won an auction on eBay for a Super Takumar 55mm f1.8 M42 lens. With shipping, cost was $25.50. So far, it looks to be a steal !! Here are some shots I took with it the day it arrived ( yesterday ). Not too bad for a 40 year old lens  Only processing done was cropping, and resizing.

Nice! So you're using an M42 to K-mount adapter on your digital bodies? I've been curious about this for a while.

    IMO #s 2 & 3 are to way to soft, #s 1 & 4 are better but need cropping

    # 2 & 3 were wide open at f 1.8, hence the "softness" and these were just quick test shots the day I recd. the lens. But thanks for the critique

Received another Super Takumar today, the 28mm f3.5, the lens looks NEW. Not a mark on it. Here are a few shots i took after work in the yard. Converted to JPEG in Raw Therapee, and cropped and resized in PSE3.

    #2 and #3 are a bit soft-focused, but #4 is outstanding!
