    Hey Guys,
I'm new to this site and new to photography. My husband bought a D3000 for me this christmas and I'v been trying to teach myself to use Manual settings, but for some reason my photos always have a blue tinge to them. What am I doing wrong?

Yep. You probably have your white balance set to something specific. In general, you can probably leave it on Auto WB unless you really need to change it or set up a custom WB. (This is if you shoot in JPG. If you shoot in RAW, you can change the WB all you want in editing).

Brake away from your auto white balance, and also in your user settings like CANON I am sure that Nikon lets you dial in your user preferences like color temp contrast etc etc... I can get crazy custom vivid color out of my 5d and 1D
