I'v been MIA (got myself a job)for a bit but am hoping to do some more posting! I'v gotten a real computer and it's all so much easier! Here are a few of my plants. Enjoy!

Close ups of flowers never fail with me but I'll always whine about wanting more DOF.
Many years back I had a Venus fly trap plant, I called it "Arthur" and it used to catch it's own insects but I think it ate something that disagreed with it because it died suddenly for no obvious reason.
Your one looks very healthy.

The harsh lighting creates specular highlights that make these look very unnatural. Try diffusing the light, using window light or bring them outdoors in the shade.

Just like any other photo, macro photography should still have an interesting composition. Not a single one of these shots jump out at me.
