Well, as some of you may know (but I highly doubt it), I have been trying different lighting setups and techniques. This weekend I had my first actual photo shoot with two friends. We all loved the results, and here are two of the many great pictures.

Thanks for looking! Any feedback would be appreciated!

I think we're the only people alive on the forum right now.

Both pics are good, but it's all about a few details. I think the first one would be better if her left forearm was more visible.

But this doesn't really matter as you were chiefly aiming at improving your lighting.
The lighting, then, is great on the first one. perhaps a bit too cold/neutral when it comes to the second and the spot of reflection is distracting.

My only suggestion would be to consider a back light. Other than that they look nice to me

Thanks a lot for the feedback everyone! Also with my setup, I don't know if I could have gotten rid of the reflection in the second shot; however, the models (my friends) liked it, so o well.

With the backlight would I point the light at the back of the person or at the background? (Yes, I am a noob)

I like the first one the best. You need to point the light at the background(99%) Sure.
