    The wife and I were out picking wild black raspberries and there it was. I don't have clue what this plant/flower is. Anybody know?

    Gah, those things are everywhere here. I don't know what they are called, but it sucks to step on one bare foot. Pretty though!

    Nice pic :) Looks a bit like a type of thistle (scottish thistle?)

    Thanks for the kind replies. I'm still in shock, having just acquired the 70-200 2.8, yesterday. I just pounced on that shot...F8 at 200mm, ISO 200, at about as close to the subject as it could focus.

    Just my luck. It's a weed.:lol:
