Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I don't know many people who are serious about photography so its difficult for me to get critique or feedback on my shots. Any tips or advice or any comments at all would be really appreciated.
They're all digital except for the two men meeting at the drained harbour which was taken on a Holga.
Thanks a mil!

The first one doesn't do much for me - I can't really see what is going on or what the main focus is supposed to be.

The second one is cute because it looks like the camera is deliberately pointed on her - was that the intent?

The third one I actually think would have been even better as a land/skyscape rather than a portrait but it's still really good.

My favorites are the fifth one and the last one. I love the sky in #5 and the little speck of a person fishing really tops off the whole scene. The last one I like because it's kind of abstract by focusing on the reflection.

Thanks so much!
The third shot of my dad is a really old one, it was taken about two years ago when I knew nothing about photography.
The fifth and the last one would probably be my favourites too.

I'm really liking number six.

Was this a candid?

Very interesting, well composed pictures. The one that sticks out is the third: it looks overprocessed and a little fake in comparison to the straightforward nature of the others. I like the second very much. You have a clear, well defined vision, an excellent sense of the abstract and a quiet visual wit.

Just a side note: I think that the heavy black borders are rather overpowering, particularly as they form strong patterns with the space around and between them.

Good luck,
Helen

Scott7117, it was a candid pic, I don't like posed photos so I try make them all as natural looking as possible.

Thanks for all the compliments and honest feedback Helen! The shot of my dad is really old so it wasn't edited very well I guess. I'll definitely take note of the black borders thing, I've been using them a lot lately so I'll try a couple shots without them.
