She wants a camera for her birthday so I need some ideas. She wants pink and on the small side. Those that read my last post know that we currently have a Sony Cybershot but I want her to have something that will take a little better pictures but not too pricey cause I plan on getting a DSLR for myself. Last thing is that Im looking in the $200 range. Thanks!

The camera i had before my slr was not to bad (aside from the dead pixel on the sensor)

It was a Canon PowerShot A590 IS. Sadly it is not pink.:(

Check out the Canon SD1200IS. They rock for point and shoot. Small, color choices, and not a whole lot of settings to confuse users that just want a point and shoot.

Is 'not pink' a deal breaker?

lol I hope not, cause I want to be able to use it as a backup once I get my DSLR. The most important things are the size and how quickly it can take pictures. The Cybershot we currently have drives her nuts with the shutter delay.

My two cents worth: get the best camera for your budget and... paint it.

You're screwed with a budget of only $200.

Do you understand why there is shutter lag?
