Need Printer Advice

I have been using the Epson 2000P for several years and have never really been happy with the quality of the prints. After reading the reviews on the Epson 2200, I am very tempted to dump the 2000P for the 2200. On the other hand the R1800 (at a fraction of the cost) seems very similar. Has anyone used either of these printers? Very interested in your opinions.
